     I grew up surrounded by theatre lights and film sets, thanks to my father, the remarkable Slovak actor Július Vašek (1926–2009). It was only natural that I found my way into acting as a child. In 1974, I stepped in front of the camera for the first time, appearing in films such as "Pacho, hybský zbojník"  and "Do zbraně, kuruci "and I never really left.

Since then, storytelling has taken me through many forms: film, television, radio, dubbing, and theatre. I have lived in Prague since 1987, where I later graduated from DAMU in 1991, specializing in alternative and puppet theatre. Along the way, I spent an inspiring year at Jiří Kylián’s Netherlands Dance Theater in The Hague an experience that broadened my understanding of movement, rhythm, and stage expression.

Back in Prague, I became part of the Ta Fantastika Theatre, where I spent many formative years until 2002. At the same time, I found another creative home in dubbing studios, a field I have been devoted to since 1994, as well as in voice-over work for commercials.

In 1999, I returned to film from a different angle, collaborating on German productions as an assistant director, interpreter, and production assistant. After a short pause to focus on my family, I gradually moved into coaching something that felt like a natural continuation of my journey. Since 2014, I have been working as an acting coach, guiding young actors in front of the camera, and as a German dialogue coach, helping actors find authenticity and confidence in a foreign language.
